What they do
A service-dog program with a therapeutic twist: wounded warriors in treatment train service dogs for fellow veterans. The training itself is the therapy — purpose, routine, and connection — and the dogs go on to assist other veterans with PTSD and TBI.
Goals
- Use service-dog training as therapy for warriors in recovery
- Place finished dogs with veterans who need them
- Operate the Maryland campus as a national training model
